Moving on …

After three months, I’m going to be leaving my telecommuting adventures with Ergnosis and returning to working in Edinburgh. I have enjoyed my time there and they’re great people, but in the end living 400 miles away from the office meant more travelling than I can handle. I’m just not built for getting up at 6am and hanging around in airports, regardless of how good the job is. I’m glad I tried it though, and I plan to do a little writeup of my telecommuting experiences sometime soon.

Dude! No way. That’s a shame. Are you planning to rejoin the Voxar hive mind?

I’m going to be joining a … wait for it … “small tech startup” in January doing simulation stuff and graphics/performance design and coding. It looks pretty interesting, and I’m looking forward to being able to cycle to work again! :-)
I’m taking December off to chill out and doss about, so give me a shout if there’s a beer.trip about to happen.

Oh well, out with the…well…new in with the new.

Good work on finding not one but two interesting sounding places to work in the space of a few months. Hope this one works out a bit better in the long run.

    Yeah, Bristol is pish anyway.

Actually, that’s not completely true, but the travel thing would be a pain in the nadgers in the long term.

Good luck with the simulation stuff. Same field I’m in now, actually : I’m simulating doing some work. I’m damn good at it, too.
