Upper bush

upper_bushing.jpg Here's the upper bush. When squeezed together, it fits snugly into the fork leg. It has a teflon coating on the inside, which provides a low-friction surface for the chrome stanchion to slide against. After a while, this part gets worn and it's worth replacing it when you do the fork seals (costs about 8ukp).
