These other OS's and app's you discuss are based on (in some cases) 20 year old software. Don't forget, that Windows itself is put out by a company with paid-for eyes looking at the code. I'd hardly call that a convincing argument. I'll leave you with this URL to investigate. Sure, it's not the be-all and end all, and some apps are yet to mature.
